Expression of Interest – Internal Auditors

Expression of Interest (EOI) Overview

We would like to engage a highly experience Chartered Accountant that will provide internal audit services to our organization.  The main objective of the Devatop Centre for Africa Development internal audit exercise is to ensure effectiveness of the internal control system and to provide assurance for the management and Board of the organisation. The audit will be expected to be performed quarterly in accordance with Ganerally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and the policies of the organsiation. The audit report will include budget variance analysis, transaction testing and projects performance reporting as well as a management account. 

SCOPE OF WORK 

The successful Internal Auditor will cover the organization’s program office located at House 8A Kings Park Estate IV, by Galadimawa Roundabout, Kukwaba District, Abuja as well as any other field office of the organisation. The findings and recommendations shall include weaknesses identified during the exercise and an action plan for Devatop Centre for Africa Development to improve on the findings.

QUALIFICATION

• Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with at least 7 years experience in providing Audit and compliance services.
• Possess a Tax Identification Number 
• References to similar work done.
• Curriculum Vitae.

DELIVERABLES 

• Quarterly Internal Audit report on the transactions, records, systems, projects and Financial Statements of the organisation.
• Budget variance analysis.
• Management accounts and reports on the strength and weaknesses of the financial management systems and controls.

COMMUNICATION AND REPORTING 

All internal audit reports and accompanying statements of financial condition shall be presented in English.

The expression of interest with quarterly internal audit services fee should be submitted via email.  The EOI should be addressed to the Executive Director. ONLY electronically submitted EOI will be accepted. Only shortlisted bidders will be contacted at a date to be communicated.
