GENERAL FUNCTIONS
The Audio-Visual and Graphic Design Assistant will be responsible for creating and managing DEVATOP’s visual and audio content, ensuring high-quality and timely inputs in accordance with DEVATOP’s brand guidelines. The Audio-Visual and Graphic Design assistant will be responsible for conceptualizing, producing, editing, and managing audio and video content for various platforms, documenting DEVATOP’s events and projects The Audio Visual and Graphic Design Assistant collaborates closely with the project team and Government officials, private sector, non-government, and civil society organizations. 

Responsibilities: 

• Edit, design and/or layout high quality, culturally suitable, and user friendly communications, publications, visibility and multimedia products, including but not limited to videos, photographs, infographics, brochures, flyers, newsletters, posters, fact sheets, country profile, backdrop banners for internal and external advocacy and campaign engagements
• Ensure that the layout and design of communications materials and digital media products are in accordance with DEVATOP’s brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Communications, Marketing, and Project teams to create cohesive content that reflects DEVATOP’s mission and objectives.
• Content Production and Management.
• Edit photographs and videos that will be used to build visibility and engagement with DEVATOP’s members, partners and relevant stakeholders to support programmes, advocacy and campaign objectives.
• Ensure all IEC and visibility materials for projects are in line with donor brand and visibility requirements.
• Plan, shoot, and edit video and audio content for use across DEVATOP’s digital platforms, including website, social media, and email campaigns.
• Set up and operate video and audio equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, and editing software, to ensure seamless production and high-quality output.
• Provide guidance on communication strategies in relation to all audio-visual communications within DEVATOP.
• Perform other duties as required by the employer.

Qualifications for Audio-Visual and Graphic Design Assistant

• Prior experience working as an audio-visual and graphic design assistant, preferably within the NGO sector..
• Proficient with computer technology and Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency with cameras, audio recording equipment, lighting setups, and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
• Advanced video and audio editing skills, with the ability to create smooth transitions, add effects, and produce high-quality content.
• Ability to produce creative, on-brand multimedia content that captures attention and communicates DEVATOP’s message effectively.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Film, Communication, or a related field.
