39 Women Rescue from Human Trafficking in Nigeria.
39 women were this Sunday intercepted by operatives of NAPTIP from a Hotel in Abuja and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja as they got set to be moved to Saudi Arabia by some Agents. The women comprising married and single ones , Christians and Muslims were intercepted in three batches. The first batch comprising 13 girls were rescued from a Hotel at Zone 6, Wuse, Abuja; the second batch of 12 were taken from the Mosque located at the airport while waiting for their recruiter and the third batch of 14 were picked up from the departure lounge of the Airport while waiting for their Agent to perfect arrangement for their movement. None of the 39 had their travel documents with them as the documents were said to be with their recruiters and agents. Meanwhile, 2 of the Agents from Rich Recruitment Company based in Jabi, Abuja have been arrested by NAPTIP operatives in connection with the planned trip of the women. The Imam of the Airport was also arrested by officials of FAAN and handed over to the Airport Security. The women and the suspects are speaking to NAPTIP investigators while investigations are on. Operatives are also on the trail of other suspects who are said to be in possession of the travel documents of the Women.
