Devatop pays a visit to the Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) Enugu Chapter

Devatop Centre for Africa Development’s advocacy team visited the Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) office at the Ministry of Gender Affairs and Social Development in Enugu.

The visit was aimed at introducing the Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) organisation to DEVATOP’s TALKAM Against the Trafficking in Persons (TATIP) project and also to invite its members to a capacity-building training program for journalists in the state.

The DEVATOP team was welcomed by the state chairman of the Joint Association of Persons With Disability, Comrade Onyebuchi and his vice-chairman, Comrade Obieko Joseph, who commended the DEVATOP’s team. He further stated that the visit shows the organisation’s commitment to social inclusivity, which he believes would improve the state’s outcome of the TATIP project.

This was followed by positive talks and a presentation by the DEVATOP team, which was well received by the state chairman. The state chairman, Comrade Onyebuchi, assured the DEVATOP team of the Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) Enugu Chapter’s support of the TATIP project implementation in the state and promised their active participation in the Capacity Building Training for Journalists and Media personalities.
